Joel Bruce Duchin

Highland Heights, KY - Joel Bruce Duchin, age 75, of Highland Heights Kentucky died Tuesday, January 19th at his home after a courageous battle with brain cancer. Born May 23, 1945, in Newark, New Jersey, son of Harry and Bess (née Goldberg) Duchin. Survivors include Marilyn Arthur of Cincinnati, Mary Anne Duchin of Bellevue, Kentucky,

nephew Marc Duchin of Pittsburgh, PA, cousin Harriet Lehrer of Rego Park, NY, cousin Arlene Reynolds of Ft. Worth, TX, dear friends Lola and Jack Bramble, Rhonda Schweitger, Sandy Boothby and Sue Ellen Hugan.

A dog lover his entire life, Joel bred and trained champion Bullmastiffs at his Bluegrass Boarding Kennel 1986-2000. He was also a substance abuse counselor. Joel enjoyed horse racing, playing the cello, and was a lifelong New York Giants Football fan.

Joel was known for his wonderful sense of humor and generosity. He will be greatly missed by those who loved him. Joel donated his body to the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine.
