John HAYES Obituary



HAYES

John D., age 86 of Cincinnati, passed away Wednesday, August 12, 2015. Beloved husband of Barbara Ann Hayes. Mr. Hayes was a U.S. Army Veteran and retired Patent Attorney. John also served in the National Guard, was a graduate of University of Cincinnati and Salmon P. Chase Law School. He served as a long time leader of Boy Scouts of America Troop 5 at Knox Presbyterian Church in Cincinnati. His career was practicing partner in patent and trademark law with Melville, Strauser, Foster and Hoffman which later merged with Frost and Jacobs. Upon retirement he operated an antiques business, Riverside Antiques, with his wife for almost 20 years. Survivors include wife Barbara V Hayes, children Steven (Victoria), Ann H. Bealer, Robert D. (Ilene). Grandchildren; Elise H. Bealer, Sylvie Hayes-Wallace, Andrew H. Bealer, Haley R. Hayes, Great Grandchildl; Riley Bealer. Sister Susanne Hayes Kimbler (Larry). Services will be held at Spring Grove Cemetery, Lake Side West Mausoleum, Monday, August 17th, 2015 at 11 AM, visitation at 10:30. Memorials may be made to Cincinnati Park Board, in honor of John Hayes. On line condolences may be made at www.clepperfuneralchapel.com.

I visited Mr. Hayes at Kenwood Terrace with my 2 dogs. He was such a sweet man. Rest in Peace Mr. Hayes, your family is in my prayers.
