Lucian WEAVER Obituary

WEAVER Lucian A., 97 of Lebanon, died Wednesday, August 27, 2003 at Otterbein-Lebanon. Born June 26, 1906 in Jackson Township, OH to A.C. and Addie Mae (nee Moorehead) Weaver, he was a 1926 Lebanon High School graduate and was the oldest living ""Warrior' football player. He was honored as a 75 year member of the Grange and for many years was active in the Lebanon Boosters Club. A member of the Christian Assembly of God, he was a self employed farmer who also worked for the Champion Paper Company in Hamilton until 1953 and retired from Lebanon City Schools as a bus driver. Preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Mary Frances (nee Shupp) Weaver in 1985, one sister, Elda Holiday and a granddaughter, Rebecca Weaver, survivors include two sons. Robert E. Weaver and Ray (Janet) Weaver, all of Lebanon, three grandchildren, Jeffery Weaver, Jennifer Groh and Mindy Adams and six great grandchildren, Ryan, Tim, Jenna Rae, and George Groh and Bradley and Rachel Weaver. Visitationwill be held Saturday, August 30 from 9-11 A.M. with funeral service immediately following all at the Clearcreek Christian Assembly, 1150 South Main St., Springboro, OH. Interment to follow at Lebanon Cemetery. Memorials requested to Otterbein-Lebanon Benevolent Care Fund, 585 N. St. Rt. 741, Lebanon, OH 45036. Arrangements by the Oswald-Hoskins Funeral Home, Lebanon.
