Cincinnati - Surrounded by his loving and doting family, Malcolm (Mal) Coleman, age 92, passed away on November 19, 2018 after an extended illness. Mal was the devoted husband of the late Adell Coleman and enjoyed a fairy tale marriage with her for 60 years. He is survived by his children Jeffrey (Carolyn) Coleman of Boca Raton, FL, Craig (Fran) Coleman of Cincinnati, and Cindy (Jeffrey Bricker) Coleman of Columbus and four grandchildren, Carly of Manhattan NY, Jaclyn of Gainesville FL, Dana of Detroit MI, and Will of Bloomington IN., sister-in-law Judith (Marshall Ruchman) Aronoff, brother-in-law David (Paula) Schaengold and many nieces and nephews. Mal was the only child of William and Celia Coleman, raised in the rural Kentucky town of Eminence which he liked to refer to as a "no stop-light town." After graduating from Indiana University Mal founded a successful advertising display business with clients such as P&G, GE Appliances, Kroger and US Shoe. Mal served on several philanthropic boards and was a passionate and generous donor to many organizations. He was especially committed to furthering Holocaust education in both Cincinnati and Florida, and most recently became a lead donor to The Holocaust and Humanity Center at Union Terminal for which the History Gallery will be named in his and Adell's honor. Mal's family was the center of his universe. He imparted life lessons to those who listened and observed. His size 13 shoes will be hard to fill.
