Michael Chappelle Obituary
Asheville, NC - Michael S. Chappelle, age 67, died peacefully with his two sons by his side on Monday, April 26th in Asheville, NC after a courageous three year fight with cancer.
Michael was born on September 3rd, 1953 in Dorchester, MA to the late William Chappelle and Marie Shea Chappelle and grew up in Brockton, MA. He graduated from Cardinal Spellman High School and the University of Massachusetts. He then worked for Toyota in Los Angeles and Chicago before starting his own advertising agency in Cincinnati. He is survived by his ex-wife Mary, sons Ryan (Leigh-Wilson) and Adam, granddaughter Ellie, as well as his 10 brothers and sisters and many nieces and nephews.
Michael will be remembered as a generous, encouraging, and loving father and friend. His two sons and granddaughter lit up his world. He never missed a single one of his children's sporting events and was also very active himself, even through cancer. He was particularly passionate about pickleball and even played the day he was hospitalized.
Per Michael's request, he will be cremated by Mountain View Cremation and Funeral Care and his ashes will be spread on his favorite hike in Asheville. A small family celebration will be held in place of a funeral. The family has requested that remembrances be made in the form of donations in Michael's name to Cancer Research Institute. Donations can be made online, by phone, or by mail.

I am thankful for the short time we connected in Asheville! It was a pleasure playing with you at Oakley & Creekside. I will surely miss laughing together. Sometimes with me and sometimes at me ;) I will see you on the other side my friend!
