Michael IRVIN Obituary
IRVIN
Michael E., age 59, of Waynesville, passed away Wednesday, July 2, 2014. He was born June 16, 1955 in Cleveland, OH to the late Betty and Lloyd Irvin. Michael graduated from Fairmont East High School in 1974 and worked for many years as a salesman. Mike thrived on adventure. An avid skydiver since he was 16, for his 50th birthday he completed 50 parachute jumps in one day and made national headlines for this achievement. Over his life he jumped over 1000 times. He and his wife lived in Naples, FL for five years, where he enjoyed exploring the Florida Keys. Michael is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Margaret Irvin; children, Nicole Tackett, Justin Irvin, and Sean Irvin; sister, Debra (Jack) Tepper; grandchildren, Josey and Kaylee Tackett; and brothers-in-law, Benjamin Freeman, David Freeman, Joseph (Michelle) Freeman, and Thomas (Doug) Freeman. Family will greet friends from 4:00-7:00pm Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 East Stroop Rd., Kettering with a funeral service following at 7:00pm. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at David's Cemetery in Kettering, OH at 12pm. Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.routsong.com

Mike will be missed, he was a good friend, he and his family will be in out thoughts. I talked to him a week ago, he was going to help me do a tandem jump for my birthday. Its still hard to believe he is gone.
