Mitch was one of a kind. A brilliant and kind person and a guy with a super sense of humor. I got to know Mitch and his brother Myron through the Georgetown Gilbert and Sullivan Society. He was a wonderful and good friend over many, many years. He spoke at the 40th Reunion and gave an emotional, thoughtful and moving speech. I was up in Martha's Vineyard and told the FB audience what a wonderful time I was having. Mitch commented, "I'll be right there. Can't wait to join you!" He always made those around him smile and those around him better for having known Mitchel Dale. I misss him terribley. Godspeed, my friend!

Anyone who attended the services in Cincinnati could not escape the obvious. Mitch was beloved by many and enjoyed extraordinary support from his family and friends. He earned that with unfailing graciousness and loyalty. Those of us blessed by his friendship over the years will miss him very much.

I have fond memories of sharing life at WHHS with Mitch and Myron. I saw them at our 40th class reunion. Mitch was sitting with Myron. When I approached them, Mitch jumped up and greeted me and Myron welcomed me with kindness and dignity. I remember both as being consummate gentlemen, thoughtful, bright, and brimming with life. I extend my sympathy to Mitch's loved ones, especially his mother, wife, sister, children, and step-children. May you be consoled by the goodness which permeated Mitch's life and made this world a more civil community.

Very sorry to hear about Mitch. He & Myron helped me feel like a person when I got to WHHS as a seventh grader, and at the time I think they were juniors, and could easily have ignored this Effie. They were generous with their time and important in my come uppance from an insular homebody to a member of the student body.

This is one of those thoughts that should have been said to them, but somehow never was.

My heartfelt condolences to his family, special thoughts to their mother.

I will never forget Mitch and his willingness to accept me as the "new" kid when I was just 12. He, Myron and I raced together and I am sad that they are both gone. Wonderful friend, terrific father, so proud of his children. May your memory be a blessing to your family.
