Nancy Nelson Obituary
Age 88, died July 18, 2017. Preceded in death by her parents John Wesley & Nita (Caldwell) Rook and step-father Jack Van Koevering; her husband Alvin R. Nelson and son Eric J. Nelson. Left to remember are her daughter Victoria (Kenneth) Paullus, Scott (Magali) Nelson; grandchildren Anthony (Angela) Nelson, Angela Paullus, Sarah Paullus; great grandchildren Evan & Eleanor Means and Evelyn Sue Nelson; and countless family and friends. Memorial Service will be held Saturday, August 12 at 10:30 am at Llanfair Retirement Community, 1701 Llanfair Ave., Cincinnati OH 45224. This has been a day of remembering. After all this time I have stumbled across the obituaries of three members of the same family: Alvin Nelson, Eric Nelson, and now Nancy Nelson.
I was a close childhood friend of Mrs. Nelson´s daughter, Vickie. Mrs. Nelson was a very generous, outgoing and fun-loving person. She had these big bright blue smiling eyes, an easy laugh, and great smile. I was always made to feel welcome in her home.
My condolences go out to her surviving family.

To Nancy's family, I was sorry to hear about Nancy's death. She has been a champion for University of Michigan Nurses and the University in general for decades. She was executive director of the Nurses Alumni Association for years and a great steward of preservation of nursing history.
