Norman Walters Obituary
Cincinnati - Assistant Chief Of Police, Norman F. Walters, "Bucky", age 91, passed away, December 21, 2018. Norman served in the United States Army during World War II and received an Honorable Discharge. He was hired by the City of Mt. Healthy Police Department on October 20th, 1959 as a Police Officer. On June 16th, 1964 he was promoted to Assistant Police Chief. He was consistently commended for his appearance and took particular care in maintaining his uniform and appearance. He retired his position of Assistant Police Chief on January 31st, 1983. He's survived by one daughter, Beth Walters; nephew, Barry Ahr; one step-daughter, Betty Jean (Alvin) Cook ; 3 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews other relative and friends. He's preceded in death by his parents, William and Jennie Walters; wife, Mary Lou Walters; daughters, Amy Walters and one stepdaughter Catherine Carson; one sister, Alma Ahr and one brother,Wes Walters. Visitation 10:00 am, Monday, January 14, 2019 at Walker Funeral Home, Mt. Healthy, 7272 Hamilton Avenue (45231) with 11:00 am service. Interment to follow in New Burlington Cemetery. Arrangements by Walker.
