R. Youngquist Obituary
R. William "Bill" was the devoted husband of 15 years to Vicki Hauck; caring father of Scott (Kathy), Karl and Eric (Amy); grandfather of Natalie, Stephanie, Christiana, Faith, Joy, Zachary, Matthew and Sarah; brother of Edith Armstrong; step-father of Pam (Jim) Christy, Nora (Robert) Droudy, Victor (Nancy) Hauck; step-grandfather of Kameron. Bill was preceded in death by his first wife of 35 years, Natalie, and son Jon Eric. He received his PhD in Biochemistry from Iowa State University in 1962 and worked for 30 years at Procter and Gamble as a starch chemist. He was active in the Boy Scouts of America earning the rank of Eagle Scout and served as a leader, including Scoutmaster. He enjoyed cooking, photography, gardening and woodworking. He was a great father, good friend and neighbor. Bill passed away on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at the age of 81. Visitation will take place at the Ogle & Paul R. Young Funeral Home in Mt. Healthy, 7345 Hamilton Ave., on Tuesday, January 17 from 11:00 am until time of funeral service at 1:00 pm. Internment follows at Arlington Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations may be directed to The Boy Scouts of America: Dan Beard Council. Online condolences may be directed to www.oglepaulyoungfuneralhome.com
