Rita McAFEE Obituary
Rita J. McAfee, beloved wife of Ronald D. McAfee for 48 years, loving mother of Kelly (Fred) Russell, the late Karianne M. McAfee, Katy (Terry) Staugler, dear grandmother of Ashley and Lauren, dear sister of Betsy Meikle, John (Bette) Ralph, and Doug (Kay) Ralph, passed away on Sunday, July 3, 2016 peacefully at home surrounded by family. Rita was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by many. She was born on May 9, 1947, in Cincinnati, OH, to the late L. Rex and Erma (Rase) Ralph. She was a lifelong area resident of Greenhills, Ohio and a retired elementary school teacher from the Winton Woods School District. She was an active member of Forest Dale Church of Christ and enjoyed volunteering with various organizations including His Hands Ministries, Meals-On-Wheels, Children's Hospital, Cincinnati Association of The Blind, and many others. She also enjoyed reading, arts and crafts, and spending time at Lake Erie and also in Florida with her family. Memorials to the donor's choice. Visitation on Friday, from 4 to 7 pm at GWEN MOONEY FUNERAL HOME, 4389 Spring Grove Ave, Cincinnati, Ohio 45223. (513) 853-1035. www.springgrove.org. Additional visitation on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at Forest Dale Church of Christ, 604 West Kemper Road, Cinti 45246, from 11 am until services at 1 pm with Jonathan Underwood officiating. Friends are invited to join the family for food and fellowship following the services at the church.
