Sarina Dahlia Rosenthal, passed away November 13, 2015, beloved daughter of Dr. Jonathan & Sheila Rosenthal, loving sister of David (Karen) Rosenthal of Charlotte, NC and Dr. Daniel (Dr. Suzy) Rosenthal of Chicago, IL, dear aunt of Miriam, Sarah, Josh & Sydney Rosenthal, devoted girlfriend of Nick Staub. Sarina attended Juilliard Conservatory in NY in the Ballet Dept. at the age of 17. She worked as a Prima Ballerina for four different companies. Her great passion in life was dance! Services Weil Funeral Home, 8350 Cornell Rd. Sunday, November 15, 11:00 A.M. Shiva will be observed at the residence of Dr. Jonathan and Sheila Rosenthal. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Sarina Rosenthal Dance Memorial Fund through 5th/3rd Bank would be appreciated. Weilfuneralhome.com

Sarina was really different...she was truly special... I was fortunate enough to meet her in Austin... We had a immediate friendship... Her moxie and sense of grace and kindness was untouchable... We both moved in different directions, time passed... I married, raised children and buried myself in my business...but never forgot of the indelible wrinkle she created in my life... You didn´t meet Sarina in your 20´s and not think about her awesome spirit at least 3 or 4 times a year even if you lived to be a 100...She had that effect on people in those days, on me anyway...
I was in Napa a few days ago on vacation and was in my hotel glancing at a coffee table book that made a reference to the Rosenthal Museum of Art in Cincinnati... I started googling and ended up here,
With heavy heart and shocking pain I have starred into the stars ever since...and called her name...
...because I know she´s among them...
I met Dan once in Austin, what a awesome person...I knew she adored her family...
My sincere condolences...

It's been a bad day. On a late night whim I typed into my phone the name of a brief but real love from 20 years ago and found all of this. I don't know what happened, but I know you deserved the best and I hope you occasionally found it. Sarina was my beautiful daughter ,my best ballet student, my best friend and my best everything .I will never be the same without you my baby. It has been almost a year remember Sarina Rosenthal, Nina the beautiful Ballerina who dedicated her life to the dance world. She was my student until she attended Julliard at the very young age of seventeen. Due to her talent, her beauty, and her passion for dance. She earned a Bachelor of Arts at University of Cincinnati and at her graduation she accepted a contract with the Austin Ballet, and then worked at Dallas Ballet Company. Two years later she danced with the Chicago Ballet, and after one year she went to the Lexington Ballet Company for three years. In Lexington she got a knee injury. She appeared in many productions as a principle dancer. Remember Sarina, her beauty, her love, and her kindness to all. Everyone loved her. She had the most beautiful smile. She will always be remembered, loved, and missed by everyone who knew her. Sarina passed away too soon, too young on November 13th 2015. She is in a better and more peaceful world. We love you and miss you.

A fund has been established in Sarina's name to enable promising students to get scholarships to promote their dancing. This was Sarina's dream and the fund is being handled by Fifth/Third Bank. Donations should be made payable to the Sarina Rosenthal Memorial Fund and mailed to Fifth/Third Bank 5717 Madison Road Cincinnati, OH 45208.

So my junior year of high school was my first year at SCPA and my mother somehow managed to get Sarina to give me a ride to school from Maderia to Downtown... We became friends almost immediately... Even though our social groups were not the same we were friends and she would say "Burton .... What are you up to" or "your crazy man" she always had something to say and one time it snowed and we showed up to school and it was cancelled.... We went to Buskin bakery and got doughnuts ... I remember going to Cifton to get dance shoes... I have to say I cried my eyes out when heard the news ... She lives one through our thoughts.. Let love rule

I will.never forget you introducing me to Ballet, and how awesome it was to have a studio in your house! All our times playing Barbie, or shopping, or your brothers picking on us! You were an inspiration to me , and I still today own my first pairs of toe shoes. My prayers are with your family ....you will be greatly missed! May you find peace and dance free I heaven.
