Shirley Mae (nee Lee), beloved wife of the late Dr. Stanley W. Peters, devoted mother of Steven C. Peters, Russell H. Peters, Julie A. Fletcher and Lora L. Joyce (John), loving grandmother of Polly Marcum (Dallas), Whitney Krumpelbeck (Matt), Michael Heroux (Kristy), Megan Fletcher, Codi Joyce, Corey Joyce, and Kaylee Joyce, great grandmother of Lacey Marcum and Harper Marcum, dear sister of the late Virginia Burke (Travis), dear sister-in-law of Carol Peters and Joyce Peters. Thursday, December 4, 2014. Age 81 years. Visitation Tuesday from 11-1 at the Westwood United Methodist Church, 3460 Epworth Ave., Cincinnati, OH 45211 where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1:00 PM. Memorials may be directed to Westwood United Methodist Church, American Diabetes Association or to Hospice of Cincinnati. Bolton & Lunsford Funeral Home serving the family

My deepest sympathy. Shirley shared her room at West Part with my sister, Mary. Shirley was so sweet and I always loved her beautiful smile even through her pain. I miss her and know she is in a better place.

Shirley is a light that shines so bright, such joy she brought, be day or night. Her laugh and wit was the spark of life that she gave to so many of us. Embers of the fire of the One, can never be diminished, but only grown by spreading new fires of life throughout the cosmos, forever creating and forever being reborn, reflecting back to the source from which she came. May we all be so like her and may we come to know that her and Stan's light will continue forever within the ALL and when we look out or within, may we know they are…. Forever, therein.
