Stanley Meyer Obituary
Stanley "Dan" P. Beloved husband of the late Virginia Meyer. Loving father of Jennifer (Hal) Angus. Devoted grandfather of Jason (Monica) Drefahl, Jessica (Phil) Bashaw, John Angus and Daniel Angus. Adored great-grandfather of Neil and Addison. Cherished brother of Marian Allen, Helen "Corky" Ladd and the late Ruth Hussel, and Francis Edgecomb. Loving friend and mentor to many. Passed away Monday, November 28, 2016 at the age of 89. Dan served as a Sergeant during WWII in the United States Army, graduating from Ohio State University with a degree in engineering. He was also a 33rd degree Mason. Dan received his Juris Doctorate from Salmon P. Chase and owned and operated his own mortgage banking company. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the Gwen Mooney Funeral Home, 4389 Spring Grove Ave, Cincinnati, OH 45223, with a 33rd degree Masonic service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, December 1, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Gwen Mooney Funeral Home. Interment Spring Grove Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to Barrett Cancer Center and Alzheimer's Association - Greater Cincinnati Chapter. Dan taught me so much when I was a graduate student working in the Finance Area of a local company. He was ever so kind to me and my mother as I went to law school at Chase at night after graduate school and she worked with him on work related projects.
He was one of God's best. I am forever thankful that I knew him.

On behalf of the entire staff at The National Exemplar Restaurant we want to express our heartfelt condolences on the passing of our friend and fan Mr. Dan Meyer. Dan was a life long fan and regular of ours and we will truly miss his smile, kind words and friendship. Mr. Meyer always displayed the highest of character, professionalism and was kind to everyone he met. We loved serving him and we will miss his presence greatly. Thank you Dan for all the memories and we will keep you in our hearts and prayers.
