Sylvia Mae, beloved wife of the late Howard Bockelman (WWII veteran and retired Chief of Police-Wyoming, OH); devoted mother of Carol Bockelman , David Bockelman, and Mary Stewart; loving grandmother of Christine Bockelman, Jesse Gilsinger, Jonathan Bockelman, Catrina Sheehy, and Kevin Bockelman; dear great grandmother of John David Sheehy, Julian Bockelman, and Gabriel Bockelman; sister of the late Charles, Bob, and Larry Lock and Frances Groneck; daughter of the late Charles and Anna Lock. Sylvia was a homemaker and an active member of the Wyoming Baptist Church for many years. She and Howard were married for 54 years upon his death in 1996. She passed away on May 26, 2014 at the age of 94. A visitation will take place at Vorhis & Ryan Funeral Home, 11365 Springfield Pk., Springdale on Sunday, June 1, 2014 from 2-4 PM. The funeral service will take place at the funeral home on Monday, June 2, 2014 at 11 AM. Condolences to www.vorhisandryan.com
