Jan, I too just learned that Tom passed away. I offer my sympathy to you and your family. Tom was a brilliant engineer. He gave freely of his time to advise and teach, but also to learn from his coworkers. He truly cared about his work to make life better for women and excelled. I offer you my condolences and know you have dear memories.

I just learned of Tom's passing and am very saddened by the loss of a good friend and fellow P&G scientist. Tom was a great man who was always thoughtful, helpful, and caring of his coworkers. While he was usually focused on work, I heard him talk often and lovingly of Jan and his son's. I wish you peace in the love of God and your family in this difficult time.

I was so sad to hear of Tom's death. I worked with him at P&G for quite a few years, and enjoyed his sense of humor, his knowledge and work style. But best of all, I appreciated the hope he gave to me for my son. One day I was in Tom's new office, a real office, not a cubicle, and remarked about it. "How do you rate?" I laughed. He told me of his ADD and how he needed a private office to concentrate. And then I saw that his private office walls were practically covered with patents. He was a brilliant scientist and learned to manage his ADD. He was successful, despite it. At the time, my son had just been diagnosed, and I so appreciated the hope that Tom gave to me that my son could be like him and lead a very successful life as well. Thank you, Tom. Your legacy lives on in my confidence that my son can be a success.

We were saddened to learn of Tom's passing. We send our condolences and sympathies to Tom's family and his sisters Renata and Margretta. I am his cousin Ron. We first met in the summer of 1945 when I was a 9 year old living in Grand Junction CO and he was a newborn living in Delta CO. My family moved to Casper WY in Sept 1945 and we only encountered each other a few times in our lives. At this time, I do wish we somehow could have had many more times together.
