James Meyer

Circleville James (Jim) Edwin Meyer, 86, of Circleville passed away on August 26, 2025. He was born on August 18, 1939 in Napoleon, Ohio to Edwin W. and Laurena (Witte) Meyer. He was a 1957 graduate of Napoleon High School; 1974 graduate of University of Toledo in Industrial Engineering, worked for Owens-Illinois and Dupont. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Roundtown Cruisers, Porsche Club of America, (COVVC) and helped found Circleville Youth Soccer Association and helped coach Odyssey of the Mind. He is remembered for his love of cars and willingness to help a fellow Volkswagen aficionado in need. He was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved daughter, Kristi Artiles. Jim is survived by his loving wife of 62 years Patricia (Leonard) Meyer; his children Julie (Arvind) Rao of Rochester, NY, Mike (Nicky) Meyer of Amanda, OH; son-in-law Carlos Artiles of Hartland, WI; grandchildren Tomas, Alejandro and Sara Artiles, Shawn and Audrey Meyer and Austin, Athena, and Deven Rao; his brother Tom (Teddy) Meyer and by dear nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held on Friday, August 29, 2025 at noon at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville. Visitation will be Friday from 10-12.
