Nancy Rich Obituary

Grove City Nancy M. (Wardell) Rich, age 89 of Grove City, OH formerly of Ashville. Nancy passed peacefully after a courageous journey with Alzheimer's disease, surrounded by the love of her family on March 27, 2026 at The Ashford of Grove City. She was born on November 18, 1936 to the late Thomas and Wylma (Dewey) Wardell. She worked at the Citizens Bank in Ashville as well as Teays Valley Schools. Nancy was a member of the First English Lutheran Church for over 70 years and very involved with the Ashville Food Pantry. Nancy loved her grandchildren and family trips.

Besides her parents, Nancy is preceded in death by her husband, Robert "Bob" Rich; daughter Tracy (Zwayer) VanMeter, and son L. Todd Zwayer.

Nancy is survived by her children, Joyce Zwayer (George) Nyswaner of Grove City, Mike (Linda) Rich, Jeff (Amanda) Rich, Greg (Lisa) Rich, Doug (Elizabeth) Rich; 13 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday April 1, 2026 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home, 420 W. Main St. Ashville, OH 43103. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 2, 2026 at First English Lutheran Church, 94 Long St. Ashville, OH 43103. Interment will follow at Harrison Twp. Cemetery, South Bloomfield, OH. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations may be made to: Ashville Food Pantry, 20 Church St, Ashville, OH 43103, in Nancy's memory, a cause she and Bob held dear. Nancy M. Rich
