Circleville Patricia Ann Karshner (nee) Yaple, 92, passed away peacefully on June 23, 2024 in Circleville, Ohio. Born August 6, 1931, in Hallsville Ohio, she was the cherished daughter of Russell and Dolores (Dresbach) Yaple. Patricia graduated from Circleville High School in 1949, laying the foundation for a lifetime of community involvement and service. Throughout her life, Patricia was deeply committed to her roles as a 4-H advisor and as a member of the Farm Bureau Advisory Council. Her dedication to these organizations reflected her passion for agriculture and youth development, shaping many young lives in her community. Patricia was also an attendee of Mount Pleasant Methodist Church and Five Points Methodist Church. Known for her exceptional skills in cooking, Patricia was the heart of large family gatherings, creating memorable meals that brought everyone closer. Her hobbies included gardening, knitting, crocheting, sewing and crafting, each a testament to her creativity and love for beauty in all forms. She loved spending time with all her grandchildren. Patricia was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 69 years, Clyde; her brother, Glenn; grandsons, Jeffrey Karshner and Justin Petitt. She will be missed by her children Keith (Faye) Karshner, Dolores (Richard) Shaeffer, Jeffrey (Amy) Karshner and Luann (Dave) Petitt; grandchildren Timothy, Angela, Heather, Nicholas, Erin, Cortney and Samantha; great grandchildren Caleb, Hailee, Madison, Taylor, Avery, Savannah, Jeffrey, Daniel, Naomi, Lee, Quynn, Kash, Noah, and Knox; great, great-grandchild Maverick. In accordance with her wishes, no visitation will be observed, with cremation arranged by Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville, Ohio. A private family memorial honoring her life and contributions to her community will be held at a later date. Patricia's warmth, kindness and enduring spirit will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by all who knew her. The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the Staff at Pickaway Manor, Pickaway Manor Assisted Living and FairHope Hospice for their excellent care. Memorial donations may be made in Patricia's name to FairHope Hospice, 282 Sells Road, Lancaster, Ohio 43130.
