Alvin Gosnell Obituary
Weaverville - Alvin David Gosnell, Sr., 69, of Weaverville, passed away Sunday, June 1, 2014 at the John F. Keever Solace Center.
Mr. Gosnell was born September 18, 1944 in Madison County. He was a lifelong resident of Buncombe County.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Krista Mae Gosnell; son, Ernie Bob Gosnell; parents, Ernest and Mae Bullman Gosnell of Jupiter; brothers and sisters: Delmas Gosnell, Thada Hunter, Robert Gosnell, Thelma Fore and James Gosnell.
Surviving are Judy Mae Wyatt; son, Alvin D. Gosnell, Jr.; daughters: Betty Dillingham and Darlene Ellison; sisters: Brenda Crawford and Glenda Chandler; brother, Jimmy Dean Gosnell; two granddaughters: Cynthia Lynn Gosnell and Cassey Hart; and two great-grandchildren.
A Graveside service will be held at 5 p.m. Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at Scott Chandler Cemetery with Reverend Woody Dillingham officiating.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at Madison Funeral Home. At other times, the family will be at the home of Mr. Gosnell.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Madison Funeral Home, 1750 Hwy 213, Marshall, NC toward the funeral expense.
