We were so sad to hear of Bryna's passing and will miss her visits with Coco. She was a wonderful lady and so thoughtful. Of course, she would always bring her treats for us; she would bring Coco for a stay and say, "I happened to bake some cookies". They were delicious. We remember her last visit; just before Thanksgiving when she and Coco showed up with a beautiful Pumpkin Pound Cake that she "happen to bake". She lovingly and warmly touched all our lives in such a special way. We miss you, Bryna...

I am so sad to hear that we will be losing Bryna as a friend, and a neighbor. What a classy, neat, knowledgeable lady she was! We got to know her when we moved to The Timbers, down the street from her, and immediately she became a highlight. We feel privileged to have known her, and are very happy to have special memories of her. Right before we returned to our "real" home in Naples, Fl, in November, Bryna had us down with another couple for drinks. She told us great stories that we hadn't heard....of her ancestors arrival in the US....and the stories of hardship and triumph. They were so fascinating, that we, in fact, passed them on to other people! So sad that we will return in June and she won't be there. But, she made an indelible mark. Loved the blogs and pictures you had online. So loving, so personal, and so fun to see. Glad we could share your Bryna.

I worked with Bryna each time she came in the store. She was such an inspiration to me and so fun and lovable! I always enjoyed her stopping in after she would have her hair done. I certainly will miss her smiling face, she was a very special lady... Carol Smith (Yesterday's Tree, Asheville, N.C.)

Bryna, a very special lady and wonderful neighbor. Her calls to me via phone always began "Betty, Bryna," followed by whatever message. We frequently met in the yard and CoCo was always present. She had an enduring warmth and radiance. I loved her dearly. Betty McClung, Asheville, North Carolina

To all of Bryna's family: We wish you the peace from knowing that Bryna lived such a full and wonderful life and that she was so vibrant and wonderful to the end, surrounded by her loving family.

Oh yes, I remember growing up and hanging out in Asheville with Bryna. She was one of my best friends whom I loved dearly. Always cheerful and fun to be with. I have thought of her often through the years and wished that I could have talked and reminisced with her. I was blessed to have known her and I am sure that you will have loving memories.

"Vibrant" doesn't do justice. After meeting Bryna for the first time, I started to run into her everywhere: gathering with women half her age in a grocery parking lot to go to a pool party, at a wine tasting, out to dinner, walking for exercise down Kimberly Avenue. She savored it all. She will be missed. I regret there was no opportunity to say goodbye, but was comforted to learn that family was with her. My condolences.
