Debra Farmer

Asheville - Debra Hilliard Farmer, 66, of Asheville, passed away Saturday, July 8, 2017 at Mission Hospitals Memorial Campus. A native of Yancey County, she was the daughter of Mona Griffith Hilliard of Burnsville and the late Robert B. Hilliard.

Surviving in addition to her mother are her husband; Jim Farmer; an aunt: Paula Williams of Charlotte and first cousins: Linda Banks Washburn of Weaverville and Dennis and Neil Jordan of Asheville.

A memorial graveside service was held at 11 AM Thursday in Pete Young Cemetery in Burnsville.

The family received friends from 7 until 8 PM Wednesday at Holcombe Brothers Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 128 South Tryon Street, Suite 1588, Charlotte, NC 28202.

Debra was a great person, I just loved talking with her. She always had a great smile and was very personable. She will be greatly missed. Debra had a great husband, Jim and her mother.
