Dorothy Pate Froste

Greensboro - Dorothy Pate Froste of Greensboro, North Carolina, age 91, passed away on December 9, 2015.

Dorothy was born on October 14, 1924 in Burnsville, North Carolina. She graduated from Bald Creek High School. She attended Pack Square School of Cosmetology in Asheville. After graduation she worked in the Winner's Department Store Salon, until opening Dots Beauty Salon in Asheville in 1957, where she retired in 1995 and moved to Greensboro.

She is survived by her daughter Darlene and son Phillip; two grand children, Shelley Sams of Malawi, Africa and Leslie Koser of Jesingen, Germany; five great grandchildren, Malaika Gopal, Zuri Gopal, Lars Koser, Ida Koser, Emma Koser; and her sister Catherine Bush of Weaverville, NC.

Dot will be returning to her beloved Asheville to rest among wonderful friends that shared her love of plants and quilting at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park. A private family Service will be held at the Forest Lawn Chapel.

Memorial donations in memory of Dot may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Greensboro at 2500 Summit Ave., Greensboro, NC 27405.
