WEAVERVILLE - Ervin Lee Gregg, 50, died in a tragic accident Monday, August 19, 2013 as he was leaving WilsonArt, where he was employed. Born November 22, 1962, he was the son of Robert Winfield and Thelma Irene Farmer Gregg of Blackberry Inn Road.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a son Nicholas Tyler Gregg; sisters, Helen Robinson of Weaverville, Carolyn Williams and husband of Black Mountain; brother Robert "Curly" Gregg of Weaverville and several nieces and nephews, all who loved him very much.
A funeral service will be held 1:00pm Saturday, August 24, 2013 at Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. Officiating will be Rev. Jack Ward. The burial will follow in the Maney Cemetery . The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Blue Ridge Funeral Service, 7626 Hwy 213, Mars Hill NC.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to his son, Nicholas Tyler Gregg Fund, c/o Robert Gregg set up at State Employees Credit Union, at 8 Monticello Rd. PO Box 920, Weaverville, NC 28787.

Carolyn and family, so sorry for your loss. I worked with Ervin at Continental Teves Asheville for several years. He was a bright spot in many dark days for me and everyone around him. He will sorely be missed.

May God's arms be wrapped around all of y'all during this tragic time. I worked with Ervin at Wilsonart and will miss him dearly. He was always cutting up with me and kept me smiling even when we were having bad days. He touched many lives and there will never be another like him. Rest well my friend.
