ISAAC DANIEL

"DANNY" HOLMES JR.

ASHEVILLE - Isaac Daniel "Danny" Holmes Jr., 59, of Eola Avenue, died Wednesday, May 4, 2011.

A native of Rockingham, N.C., he was a son of Susie DeBerry Holmes of Asheville and of the late Isaac Daniel Holmes Sr.

Mr. Holmes was retired from the North Carolina DMV. He attended Sand Hill Baptist Church.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by a sister, Brenda Holmes Hopkins and husband, David, of Arden.

A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, with the Rev. Rick McCarson officiating. His family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery.
