John Edmonds Obituary
EDMONDS
ASHEVILLE - John Edward Edmonds, of Asheville, died at the Memorial Campus of the Mission Hospital Systems on Thursday, November 1st.
John was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Iva Edmonds; first wife, Grace Myers; and step-father, George Yarborough.
He is survived by his wife, Anita Edmonds; daughters, Marie Tipton( Richard), Eugenia Stapleton (Cameron), Karolyn Meritt (Rob); sons, Max Dunn, Andy Little (Stephanie) Brian Little (Lara); sister, Betty Henn (Charles); and brother, Howard Yarborough. John leaves 9 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild to cherish his memory. A graduate of Mars Hill High School, he retired from Bellsouth after over 40 years of service. John was a member of the CWA and truly was a union man. He was an avid beekeeper and loved to work his farm and garden. John had many farm animals that he and his grand children took great care of. John will be missed for his ability to tell stories from the past. The family will receive friends on Sunday November 4th at 2 P.M. until the service hour at Grassy Branch Baptist Church. The funeral service will be at 3 P.M. at the church.
