June King

Hot Springs - Mabel June Raleigh King, 81, of Hot Springs, passed away Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at Elderberry Healthcare.

Mrs. King was born June 1, 1932 in Madison County. She was an area resident all of her life and a member of Saint Andrew the Apostle Parish in Mars Hill.

June was preceded in death by her parents, James and Callie Mae Gentry Raleigh; sisters, Bernice Roberts, Evelyn Keller, Jimmie Mae Fox, Irene Cook and Lucille Harris.

Surviving are her husband of 63 years, Joe King; her children, Frank Bruce King (Linda), Connie King, Joseph Greg King, Tony Glenn King and Tim King (Karen); five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; her sister, Mildred Phillips of Ocala, FL; her brothers, James Raleigh, Jr. (Creola) of PA and Daniel M. Raleigh (Reva) of Weaverville; and many nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Friday, September 13, 2013, at Saint Andrew the Apostle Parish, 149 Brook St., Mars Hill, NC with Reverend Fredrick M. Werth officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview United Methodist Church Cemetery in Hot Springs.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m - 1 p.m. Friday at Madison Funeral Home.
