Kay Pressley Obituary
Asheville - Kay Phillips Pressley, 61, of Asheville, passed away Friday, March 9, 2018.
A native of Polk County, she was a daughter of the late Karl Marx and Dorthea Lee West Phillips.
She is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Norman Pressley; one son, Brandon Pressley and his wife, Annita; step-children, Lisa Pressley, Tammy Campo and Michael Pressley; one sister, Judy Godfrey; two brothers, David Phillips and Paul Phillips, as well as eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A Graveside Service will be held at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, March 13 in the Butler addition of New Salem Cemetery.
Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian is assisting the family and a memorial guest register is available online at www.grocefuneralhome.com.

It has been probably over three years since I had a nice visit with Kay, her Husband, and Son. I brought them some of my CD's. Kay was a real music lover and one of the SWEETEST people I ever met. My apologies to the family for the lateness of this, but I was not aware that Kay had passed. Bless her memory, and I hope there's some GREAT music for her to enjoy wherever she is, she is pain free, and filled with joy!

Kay,Norman,Brandon and my family go back for many years. My wife and I have always loved and respected the Pressley family for who they are and the many wonderful things they have done for others. We give credit to Kay for all her strength and what she dealt with concerning her son Brandon: not to mention other major issues. Keta and I loved her so much and now our heart is broken from this tragic loss. Kay only has to deal with God himself from now on and can always be in comfort in his hands. We pray the family will overcome and have the courage to carry on. We love you Kay:: RIP our friend
