It has been ten years since her passing. I was in a nursing home with a traumatic brain injury when her obituary was printed. I remember driving 70 miles to see her, love. Judging by my name we are exactly the same. Annelies Marie Frank M.S.W.
Strong love still.

Muffie, I have just learned of your passing while googling your name to try to find you. We were Kappas together at Missouri University, and had the wonderful honor of being one of your bridesmaids at your wedding. All of us who flew out to NYC together for your wedding had such a fun time. Your family took us to late night talk shows... and we went to a wonderful Italian restaurant in Greenwich Village, visited Rockefeller Center and St. Pat's Cathedral. Unfortunately, after college, we lost touch... I tried to find you but didn't have the advantage of the internet then. I remember you vividly as being a kind, gentle soul, who was also full of laughter and always so nice to everyone. I am so sorry to not have been able to reconnect. I can tell from reading comments on different obit pages that you affected many lives and that people responded to your kind and caring personality just as we all did at Mizzou, so many years ago.
I feel blessed for having known you, Muffie. Mary Alice (Lang) Salisbury

I miss you and think about you often. You touched my life and helped me get sober and were a constant presence in my early sobriety. I was blessed by God and Christ to walk into that Friday night meeting in Asheville during the time you were attending it. You were such a light for so many and I can still remember your energy and your smile. You are so often on my mind. I know you are with God in heaven and you were one of his angels on Earth. There is so much more I could say but many have said it below years ago. We lost touch when I moved from Asheville but your impact on my life was permanent and positive and I can't thank you enough for your contributions to my life.

I am so very sorry to learn of the loss of Martha. I had been one of her patients for a brief time about 5 years ago. I happened upon her Caring Bridge site and been following that. I only wish someone had posted on that site that she had finally lost her battle...
My prayers and thoughts are with the family

Marti, I love you. You will always be a shining light for me. Your care and concern were unsurpassed, especially where we worked together. I know you and Beck are sending good energy my way, especially since I have three children to raise now. I miss you, Marti, but I know you are at the peak of happiness and joy. Don't let anything stop your bright light. Love, Marie

I remember dearly driving to school in Muffy's little green (GA colors) MG Sprite. She was always late to GA so I had to get out there and walk back over to Wick. Her Good Companion Lamp award at GA was a clear sign of Muffy's path for her life ahead. God Bless my big sister...

Muffi, I remember you well from our high school days. Your photo in this album captures the wonderful spirit from those days that you must have kept all your life... and which now is in peace.

Marti was truly a amazing lady. She was always a bright spot in our day. We will miss her. In May she couldn't make her appointment due to plans she had to make. I'll never forget our conversation. She was more concerned with us being able to fill that appointment , then herself. She said she was at peace and hoped to make it until Christmas. I hope her spirit shines bright in all who loved and knew her today and especially at Christmas may our hearts be warmed. As we remember her courage, strength and caring for others.

Thank you, Marti, for all the love and wisdom you shared with so many of us. Thank you for your example of what being "happy, joyous and free" of alcoholism looks like. I will hold you smile and humor close to my heart.
