My deep condolences to the family. I had the pleasure of meeting her grandaughter Chara Douglas recently and she seems to be from the same cloth, with powerful heart & brain. Rest in Peace Ms Jones, may your example inspire us all.

DEAR FAMILY, WE SOMETIMES FIND PEOPLE WHO SUGAR COAT STATEMENTS. WE ALL KNEW WHERE MS. MINNIE WAS ON ANY ISSUE. SHE WOULD STAND ALONE IF SHE HAD TO, BUT AT THE END SHE FINISHED TELLING HER SIDE, WE LEFT KNOWING WHERE SHE WAS. WE HAVE LOST A TRUE VOICE CHAMPION AND DOER OF GOOD WILL. FAMILY, CHURCH, HEALTH, CITIZENS AND POLITICS WILL NOT BE THE SAME. WHO NOW WILL STAND AND SPEAK TO YOUR FACE AND NOT BEHIND YOUR BACK. MAY THE WORK SHE HAS DONE SPEAK FOR HER. BLESSINGS, GRACE, MERCY AND PEACE FROM GOD OUR FATHER AND THE LORD JESUS CHRIST. A GREAT LOVE HAS BEEN WITH US. A TRUE FRIEND WILL REALLY TELL YOU WHAT THEY THINK.

You will be missed. Thank you for keeping me healthy for the last 5 years. When I turned 60, my health insurance rates were way too expensive for me to keep it. I don't know how I would have had any medical care without the Minnie Jones Center & your wonderful staff. May you rest knowing how many lives you have touched.
