NORA "ALICE" BELL HAWTHORNE

ORANGE PARK, FLA. - Nora "Alice" Bell Hawthorne, 76, of 3454 Lullwater Lane, Orange Park, Fla., passed away December 9, 2012, at Orange Park Medical Center.

Born in Asheville, NC on March 4, 1936, Alice was the daughter of Frank C. and Ruth Crowther Bell, Sr. She married the love of her life, James William Hawthorne, in Asheville, NC on June 30, 1956. Alice graduated from Lee H. Edwards High School and received her post-secondary education at St. Genevieve-of-the-Pines'.

Surviving are sons, James Corwyn (Darci) Hawthorne and Gregory Scott, both of Phoenix, Ariz. and Nathan Claude (Jodi) of Orange Park, Fla.; sister, Margaret Sue (Ernest) Lee of Greensboro, NC; sisters-in-law, Barbara Hines of Abbeville, SC and Margaret Bell of Orlando, Fla.; her grandchildren, Taylor, Sean, Jamilyn, Kaitlyn, and Savannah; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James William Hawthorne; father and mother, Frank C. and Ruth Crowther Bell, Sr.; father and mother-in-law, Claude T. and Ruth Foster Hawthorne; sister, Helen Bell; brother, Frank C. Bell, Jr.; and sister-in-law, Claudia Joan Hawthorne.

Memorial Services are at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 29th at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints 400 Farrs Bridge Road Greenville, SC 29617.
