I just wanted to take a few minutes to say how heartbroken I was to hear that Norman had gone home to be with the Lord. But I know that all was good with his soul and heart.I remember Norman and the Primitive years ago when my daddy was still alive. They would come over to Herman & Lucille Burleson's to sing and visit with them. They would gather around the piano and sing any and all songs that they could till way into the night. My father was Kye English and sung with the True Gospel Quartet for many years. Now they are all gone to be with the Lord and I know that when the Angels carried Norman over the river that Kye, Herman, Lucille and S.B. were standing there waiting for him and they all began to sing a NEW SONG.
Just carry on family and friends and you to will see them again.
My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Mr. Norman Wilson was a blessing in himself. God really used him and all the guys in the group (The Primative Quartet ) now he is singing in heaven oh what a reunion he is having. Norman was very highly respected by my son he loved to hear him play and sing and Norman inspired him to learn to play the mandolin. We love and will miss him and our prayers are with all.. God Bless.

Dear Kaye, Family, and Primitives, We are So sad to hear of Norman's passing, but he just beat all of us there! We cannot imagine your pain and sorrow, but you have that "Hope Is In The Blood" that you will see Norman again! We have many good memories of hearing Norman and the guys sing about Jesus, and this day that will come to all of us. We traveled to The Bahamas twice with them, and became friends. They are always the same, and truly live for the one they sing about. "Mr. Wilson" (as we called him) always wore a smile, and we understand that when he left this old world, he was smiling! How appropriate, for he knew he was going home. May God give all of you his peace that passes all understanding. Our love and prayers of comfort are with you. God Bless You!

I am deeply saddened by the loss of Norman Wilson , my heart aches tonight as I set here and thank about my younger days when I was in my teen's Norman ,Furman and his father Radford Wilson would come to the house and I could set for hours on end and listen to them talk about Jesus and how much that they love him . my father Wilburn Justice being a preacher to we would end up and it felt that we were in church ,everybody praising our good lord ...truly love this family ...looking forward to seeing them again when the lord call, the rest of us on home to be with him. Judy &Jean love the family will be greatly missed... Heaven's sweet gain but earth great loss..

October 18, 2014

We have been blessed by the singing of Norman and the Primitive Quartet. Norman and I would always talk about Tellico. I was born on Tellico. He had high regard for my Grandfather, Cicero Barnes. The last time we saw Norman and the Quartet was at Red Marble Baptist Church. We talked about the good times on Tellico that night after the singing.

He was a man of God and there was rejoicing in heaven when he crossed over home. May God's great arm of love hold each of you with the comfort only He can give at this time and the days ahead. Our prayers are with you.

I will miss that beautiful smile, and that marvelous tenor voice. I have several albums of the Primitives; so, I can still enjoy his singing. His Family has my husband and my sympathy.

The Primitives played their music in the church that I am a member of in 1988. They also played at the fairgrounds in my home town once, and they came to our home for supper. I have pictures of them at our table. I felt so honored by their visit. I truly hated to hear the news of his passing.

Sincerely,
Jo Anne J. Hyler

I know there is a void all over Candler in the hearts of so many people that only God can mend. His smile and uplifting words made you feel like life was to important to focus on troubled times. He will be miss by those of us who loved him dearly. You are in our Prayers.
