Robert Bowlin Obituary
Fletcher - Robert (Terry) Bowlin, 55, went to be with our Lord and master on December 31, 2016, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Terry is survived by his parents, Bob and Clesta Bowlin, his brother, Barry Bowlin, sister-in-law, Barbara Bowlin, and his niece, Heather Bowlin and Sox.
Terry was a 1979 graduate of Clyde A. Erwin High School, and a former volunteer with the Fletcher Fire Dept. He was a 34 year employee of Meritor in Henderson County as a gearing support tech.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 in the Patton Ave. chapel of Groce Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
Contributions may be made to Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery, c/o Nancy Hensley, 32 Short Dix Creek Rd., Leicester, NC 28748, or flowers will be appreciated.
No words in our vocabulary can ever express our thanks to Terry's host of loved ones and family (whether related or not) and his caregivers on the 10th floor at St. Joe's and his physicians.

We were so sorry to find out today 1.3.17 that Terry had passed. He was a delight to know. We know he is at peace now and with our Lord and Savior. Will be praying for you in this time of grief and sadness. If there's anything that we are able to help you with, please feel free to call anytime. Love you guys.

Terry was a wonderful friend and co-worker. An inspiration to us all to hang in there. We will miss him. Glad God has taken his pain away. Peace.

I am so sorry for the loss of Terry. What a great example of strength and courage Terry has shown through the years. His outlook on life is a great lesson to us all. I am so glad he is not in pain anymore. He will be missed but never forgotten!
