Ruby Bishop Obituary
Asheville - Ruby Jean Joyner Bishop, 86, passed away Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at her residence.
She was a lifelong resident of Buncombe County and was the daughter of the late James and Betsy Brown Joyner. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Joyce Bishop, 2 sisters and 3 brothers.
Surviving are sons, Gary Bishop (Kathy), Charles Bishop (Wanda) and Alvin Bishop, daughters, Marian McTier (Bill) and Lynda Bishop, 13 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services and burial will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, August 11, 2012 at Green Hills Cemetery with Rev. Daryl Overton officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Friday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home.
