Safwat Kutob Obituary
Asheville - Dr. Safwat David Kutob (born September 8, 1925) passed away peacefully at Givens Estates on November 4th, 2018. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Florence Virginia Kutob. He is survived by his children Dr. Rabi and Kristen Kutob, Dr David and Dyann Kutob, and Dr Randa and John Bormanis; his grandchildren Cicely, Nate, Leila, Kaleb, and Ari; as well as a large extended family throughout the world.
He was born in Jerusalem and traveled to this country to pursue a Ph.D. in Pharmacology and Toxicology. While studying, he met Florence, became a naturalized citizen. and raised his family.
He will be greatly missed.
His family wishes to express their deepest appreciation to the staff at Givens Estate, especially the CNAs, Nurses, Housekeeping, as well as many others, who provided gentle and loving care.
Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian is assisting the family.

David, Rabi, and Randa, My brother, sister, and I are all thinking of you as the anniversary of your Dad's passing approaches. Both your Dad and Mom are remembered with love and affection. I remember most the excitement whenever we found out your family was coming to visit, and how thrilled we were when you finally arrived. The summer and fall you lived with us is my favorite childhood memory. Thinking of you now and always.

Dear cousins, I am sorry for the loss of your dear father. He loved you all. I remember him well from Michigan days and always remember him helping the boys learn to ride bikes behind our house. I think of you of often.

My fondest memory of Uncle David is intently watching him shave with his brush, foam and straight razor in Mason. Also riding in his white convertible. A Chrysler I believe. Grieve the loss but always celebrate the life.....your cousin Wayne.

Dear Drs. Rabi, David, and Randa,
Please accept my condolences on the loss of your Father. It was my privilege to have known him and to have worked for him. Although he was proud of his work, he was most proud of his children and their accomplishments. "They're all Doctors!" he would exclaim.
