Tim Rogers

Bryson City/Asheville - Timothy Dean "Tim" Rogers, 41, of 367 Mount Keys Drive went to be with his Lord Tuesday, November 8, 2011.

A native and resident of Asheville for most of his life, he had resided in Bryson City since 2002. He was a 1989 graduate of Clyde A. Erwin High School where he served all four years in the JROTC program.

He was a son of Edna Woody Emberton of Bryson City and husband Charles S. Emberton of Kansas and Calvin Junior Rogers (Betty Ruth North) of Asheville.

Surviving in addition to his parents are his brothers, Michael W.L. Rogers (Claudia Wheeler) of Weaverville, Billy Jeffrey Rogers of Bryson City and Brian Alexander Rogers of Asheville; half sisters, Shundau Rogers and Kelly Rogers and several aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends.

As Tim had requested, his body is being donated to Duke University for anatomical studies of the brain for brain tumors in hopes of protecting other children in the future.
