Alta Pearson Obituary
She was the daughter of the late Irene Shaffer and Harry Pope Jr., and resided in Hunlock Creek most of her life. Mrs. Pearson was a licensed beautician and worked at Luzerne Outerwear prior to retiring.
She was a member of Hunlock Creek United Methodist Church. Alta enjoyed her cats, crocheting and watching soap operas. She cared for her husband, Arnold, during his illness. She was a good cook and enjoyed sharing many Sunday dinners and family holidays.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold Pearson, and a son, Arnold Pearson Jr.
Surviving are two daughters, Diana Rightmire, Hunlock Creek; and Ginger Stadulls, Murray, Utah; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-grandson; several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Clarke Piatt Funeral Home Inc., 6 Sunset Lake Road, Hunlock Creek, with the Rev. C. Glenn Neely officiating.

Alta was my Aunt, she was special to me, She had moved to Utah about 20 or more years ago, and I hadn't seen her in all that time, but talking with her on the telephone was just like having her here next to me. She is often in my thoughts and a multitude of memories of her. RI P
