April Olivia Roskos, 29, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away unexpectedly after a brief illness Monday, Dec. 13, 2021, in Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Twp.
Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of Donald and Susan Roskos, Harveys Lake. She worked for CVS as a certified pharmacy technician.
April had an infectious smile and a gregarious personality. She loved selflessly and touched everyone who met her. Her many gifts and talents included photography. She was most comfortable behind the camera and especially enjoyed photographing nature. She loved the water and took her friends and family for rides on the wave runner at Harveys Lake. She was the fun favorite aunt to many.
April was an accomplished pianist and earned the honor of playing at Carnegie Hall in 2011, a highlight of her life. She was a committed member of Cross Creek Community Church and active on the worship and sound team there. Her faith in Jesus was evident in her life. April came to our family through a miracle, and we find comfort only in the assurance that she is with our Heavenly Father.
She was preceded in death by grandparents, Raymond Samuel Burnett and Dorothy Stevick Burnett; and John Roskos and Freda Shouldice Roskos.
Surviving, in addition to her parents, are her siblings, Steven Roskos and wife, Susan, East Lansing, Mich.; Seth Roskos and wife, Mandy, Los Angeles; Alison Treat and husband, Todd, Falls; Jonathan Roskos, Los Angeles; Anne Sarkijevic and husband, Alen, Lawrenceville, Ga.; Rebekah Roskos and Frederick Roskos, Harveys Lake; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in Cross Creek Community Church, 370 Carverton Road, Trucksville. Interment will follow in Fern Knoll Burial Park, Dallas. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Harold C. Snowdon Funeral Home Inc., 140 N. Main St., Shavertown.

April was very kind and loving to our family since we first met them all around the summer of 2011 as they were traveling through the upstate New York region with an rv.
She became good and longtime friends with our daughter Haylee and they enjoyed long deep conversations and the occasional fun day when they would get together in PA and Binghamton over the years.
I have personally cherished this poster April and the family created to greet us the first time we met them all at their home.
Those living close to the Roskos family, who see them regularly, please extend all the love we would if we were there.
And thank them for us again and again for coming into our lives with April.
Rest dear friends knowing we will all be together soon....

My heart is totally broken, sweet girl, and none of this seems real. I told you we´d be friends forever, and I´d never give up on you or walk away. I never thought your forever would come so soon. Love you so much....I can´t wait to see your beautiful smile again.
