Beverly R. Mattick, 76 of Pittston, passed away Monday morning, June 3, 2024, at Hospice of the Sacred Heart, Dunmore.
Born Feb. 1, 1948, in Wilkes-Barre, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Rose Gerchman Kotar.
Bev was a 1965 graduate of James M. Coughlin High School, Wilkes-Barre, and was the owner and operator of Beverly Mattick's Hair Fashions in Wilkes-Barre.
Her life centered around her family and friends to whom she was devoted. Beverly was a selfless woman with a magnetic personality who touched everyone she met. Her laughter was contagious. She was loved by all who were blessed to have known her.
Beverly's passing leaves a void that can never be filled in the lives of those fortunate enough to call her a friend, a cousin, a sister, an aunt, a mom or a Grammy. However, the love she shared in her time with us has forever changed all who knew her. There is comfort in knowing that Beverly's joy lives on in those left behind to mourn this great loss.
Surviving are her children, Anthony Mattick V. and his wife, Chrissy, Etters; Maura Mattick, Wilkes-Barre; and Jared Mattick and his wife, Heather, Mount Airy, Md.; grandchildren, Sarah Dudick, Max Mattick, Anthony Mattick VI and Jackson Mattick; brother, Lawrence Kotar Jr. and his wife, Barbara, Athens; and many nieces and nephews.
A visitation and memorial service celebrating Beverly's life were held at Corcoran Funeral Home Inc., 20 S. Main St., Plains Twp.
Memorial donations may be made in Beverly's memory to Hospice of The Sacred Heart, C/O 30 E.D. Preate Drive, Suite 108, Moosic, PA 18507.
