Bruno Terkala Obituary

Bruno A. Terkala, 89, of Pocono Lake passed away, Monday, March 16, 2015, peacefully at home.

Born in Elizabeth, N.J., Sept. 28, 1925, he was the son of the late Anna and Thomas Tyrkala.

He attended St. Adalbert High School and then enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps where he served in the Pacific.

Prior to his retirement, he was employed by Strickland Transportation, South Kearny, N.J. He was an avid skeet and trap shooter when he won many trophies and awards.

Preceding him in death were his brothers, Michael, Stanley, Walter, John and Joseph.

Surviving are his wife of 62 years, Gloria; sister, Veronica Wojik, Rahway, N.J.; numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Maple Hill Cemetery Chapel, 68 E. St. Mary's Road, Hanover Township. Interment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.

Friends may call 10 a.m. to service time at the chapel.

Arrangements are by Lehman Family Funeral Service Inc. 689 Hazle Ave., Wilkes-Barre.
