Charles Watkins Obituary

Charles Clarke Watkins, 70, formerly of Wilkes-Barre, passed away Tuesday in the Department of Veteran Affairs Medical Center, Plains Township.

For the past six years, he had been a resident of the Smith Nursing Home, Mountain Top.

He was born on Sept. 26, 1937, in Wilkes-Barre, a son of the late Stewart and Anna Clarke Watkins. He was a 1955 graduate of Coughlin High School and graduated from King's College, Class of 1959.

An Army veteran, he was self-employed as a certified public accountant. Mr. Watkins served as a volunteer at the Veterans Administration Medical Center.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Grace Ashby and Anne Claire Kennedy; and brothers, John and Thomas Watkins.

Surviving are a sister, Alice Russomano, Dallas; brother, James S. Watkins, Mountain Top; nieces and nephews, John Watkins, Karen Watkins, Robert Kennedy Jr., Stuart Kennedy, Michael Kennedy, William Kennedy, Kelly Ann Kennedy, James Watkins, Mark Roberts, Debbie MacDonald and Kathleen Kaiser.

Private funeral services will be held. Arrangements are by E. Blake Collins Funeral Home, Wilkes-Barre.

To family of Clark

He will be missed a great deal.. I was a nurse at Smith who left recently before his death. He was a wonderful person. I myself will miss him. I went back to visit after I left. My condolence to the family.
