Chris Higgins Obituary
Chris Higgins, 43, of Harveys Lake, passed away Thursday, Jan. 6, 2022, in Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
He was born in Wilkes-Barre, March 1, 1978, and was the son of Rose Higgins, of Harveys Lake, and the late Marty Higgins Sr.
Chris graduated from Lake-Lehman High School, Class of 1997.
He was currently employed as a truck driver for Calex Logistics, Pittston, for the last 13 years and Eli Towing and Recovery, Dallas, for three years.
He was also the assistant fire chief for Harveys Lake Fire and Ambulance.
Chris enjoyed fishing, going on his pontoon boat, wood working and helping anyone who he could. He was a hard worker and loving husband, father and friend.
Chris is survived by his wife of 15 years, the former April Geiger; daughter, Jessica Geiger, Glen Lyon; son, Zachary Higgins, at home; brother, Marty Higgins Jr.; best friend, Kevin Partash and his wife, Deejay; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday from Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home Inc., corner of state Routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek, with the Rev. L.D. Reed, pastor of Emmanuel Assembly of God Church, Harveys Lake, officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday.
Interment will be in Perrego Cemetery, Harveys Lake.
Memorial donations can be made to Harveys Lake Fire and Ambulance, PO Box 56, Harveys Lake, PA 18618.
