Clara Romasiewicz Obituary

Clara Romasiewicz, 88, of Dupont, died Tuesday morning, May 2, 2017, at Wesley Village after a brief illness.

She was born in Dupont, daughter of the late Alexander and Anna Krzywicki Romasiewicz.

Clara was a life resident of Dupont and was a graduate of Dupont High School.

She worked for many years at the Brooks Pants Factory in Old Forge and Steingut's Dress Factory in Dupont.

She was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Dupont, and the Women's Society and Senior Outreach of the church.

She is survived by a sister, Mary Kilyanek, Duryea; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Al, Peter and Joseph, and sisters, Josephine Champi, Bertha Kukla, Helen Romasiewicz and Irene Starinski.

Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Friday from Lokuta-Zawacki Funeral Home, 200 Wyoming Ave., Dupont, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in Sacred Heart Church, 215 Lackawanna Ave., Dupont, to be celebrated by the Rev. Thomas Petro, pastor.

Interment will be in the parish cemetery.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday.

Elaine,

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your Aunt Clara. I can vividly see her smiling face and I know that she is smiling down at us all from heaven. My heart and prayers go out to you and your family at this most difficult time. May God continue to give you the strength that you so deserve.
