Clare M. Scott, 61, of Hunlock Creek, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2023, at Mountain City Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Hazleton.
Born in Wilkes-Barre, she was the daughter of the former Clare Baur and the late Adrian Dominik and was a graduate of West Side Tech.
She is survived by her husband of 27 years, Anthony D. "Don" Scott.
Before retirement, Clare had been employed by Dallas High School in the cafeteria department. Previously, she was a phlebotomist working at Tyler Memorial Hospital. She was a member of St. Therese's Church, Shavertown.
Also surviving are her daughter, Ashley James; sons, Todd and Jeff Bynon; five grandchildren; her cat, Ringo; sisters, Mary Ann Cavalieri; and Helen DeMarco; and brothers, John and Joseph DeMarco; nieces and nephews, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.
Clare was preceded in death by brothers, Adrian Jr., Paul and Gerard DeMarco.
A funeral service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday from Richard H. Disque Funeral Home, 2940 Memorial Highway, Dallas, with a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Therese's Church, Pioneer Avenue, Shavertown, with the Rev. James Paisley officiating. Interment will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday.
