Craig Harger Obituary

Craig L. Harger, 26, a resident of Nanticoke, passed away unexpectedly Monday evening, Aug. 24, 2015, at his home.

Born Nov. 16, 1988, in Wilkes-Barre, Craig was the son of Lisa (Dushanko) Chmiola and her husband, John, and Brian Shouldis and his companion, Jody Daniels, all of Swoyersville.

For the past nine years, Craig had honorably served our country in the U.S. Army Reserves as a petroleum supply specialist with the 233rd Quartermaster Company, 2nd Platoon, Scranton. He exemplified what it was to serve our country, and he truly loved being a serviceman.

Craig was employed for some time as a contractor by Henkels & McCoy Co., Blue Bell.

An avid car enthusiast, Craig had a passion for learning about and working on cars. One of his favorite pastimes was playing video games.

Above all, Craig's greatest enjoyment in life was spending time with his beloved children and family. Craig will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved him.

In addition to his parents, Craig is survived by his children, Kevin Brian Harger and Juliette Evelyn Harger, both of Mountain Top; the mother of his children, Courtney Franks, Mountain Top; his brothers, Kyler Daniel-Shouldis and Mason Daniel-Shouldis, both of Swoyersville; his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Dushanko, Swoyersville; his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Shouldis, New Jersey; his aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A private family Blessing service will be held at Wroblewski Funeral Home Inc., 1442 Wyoming Ave., Forty Fort.

Interment with the Rite of Committal will follow in Denison Cemetery, Swoyersville, where military honors will be accorded by the U.S. Army.

There will be no public calling hours.
