David Breining Obituary

David P. Breining, 70, of Edwardsville passed away peacefully Saturday morning, Dec. 18, 2010, at The Meadows Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Dallas, following an illness.

Born Aug. 7, 1940, in Williamsport, he was a son of the late Paul and Dorothy Fry Breining.

He was a graduate of Jersey Shore High School and served in the U.S. Navy. Dave was formerly employed as a salesman for many years. He had been a restaurant owner and most recently worked as a security guard.

In addition to his parents, Dave was preceded in death by his son, Darin P. Breining.

Surviving are daughters, Crystal Kravits and husband, Mark, Shavertown; Colleen Breining, Wyoming; grandchildren, Kyleigh and Kade Kravits; sister, Joan Summerson and husband, Edward, Woolrich; several nieces and nephews; his dog and constant companion, Muffin.

Funeral services will be held at noon Monday from Harold C. Snowdon Funeral Home Inc., 140 N. Main St., Shavertown. The Rev. Earl W. Roberts III, pastor of Dallas United Methodist Church, will officiate. Interment will follow in Memorial Shrine Park, Carverton. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until the time of the service Monday.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 190 Welles St., Suite 118, Forty Fort, PA 18704.
