Delbert Humenik Obituary
Del was born in Nanticoke, the son of Mary and Mytro Humenik. For 58 years he was the beloved husband of Marlene B. Stewart Humenik.
Del received a degree in pharmacy from Temple University in 1954 and was a veteran of the Korean war, where he served as a medic from 1955 to 1957.
He was the proprietor of Cypress Pharmacy, Morrisville, for 25 years and retired from Burns Pharmacy, Morrisville, in 2012.
Del was a member of the Bordentown Elks for 30 years, enjoyed woodworking and playing cards with his friends.
Delbert is survived by his sister, Geraldine Pardovich, Langhorne; and his children, Diane Humenik (partner Glenn Herbert) West Chester; Delbert M. Humenik Jr. (Aleshia Booth Humenik), Dallas, Texas; Deirdre Humenik, Yardley; Carl Humenik, Trenton, N.J.; and Janine (Michael Arlow), Mount Laurel, N.J. Delbert's grandchildren are Zachary R. Humenik, Wilmington, Del.; Olivia, Jacob and Haley Kittel, West Chester; Maggie and A.J. Humenik, Boulder, Colo.; Jesse S. Humenik, Morrisville; and Emma Lagdameo, Yardley.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Delbert's name to the American Cancer Society − Relay For Life, "Friends Fighting for a Cure" and the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Oct. 18 at Veterans Park, Yardley, under the direction of Riverside Memorial Chapels, Ewing, N.J.
