Elizabeth Rudowicz Obituary

Elizabeth R. Rudowicz, 97, formerly of Wilkes-Barre, passed away peacefully Thursday morning at Manorcare Health Service, Kingston.

She was born in Plains Township, a daughter to the late John and Catherine Palcisko Shedlock. She was a graduate of Sacred Heart School, Wilkes-Barre, and in her younger years Elizabeth worked at Consolidated Cigar Company, Wilkes-Barre.

Elizabeth was a life member of Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Plains Township. She enjoyed cooking and baking for her loved ones. She loved her family and enjoyed going on bus trips with her sisters and her nieces. She also loved traveling to Atlantic City, N.J.

She will always be remembered and deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

She has been preceded in death by her husband Stanley in 1980 and by sisters, Anna Wallace, Catherine Shedlock, Mary Stasik, Margaret Stasik, Helen Wroblewski, Rita Falcheck and Veronica Columbus; and by a brother, Joseph Shedlock.

Surviving are her son Stanley and his wife, Roberta, Honesdale; grandchildren, Terry, Steven, Polly, Lynn and Kelly; 12 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family at a later date from Michael J. Mikelski Funeral Home PC, 293 S. River St., Plains Township, with the Rev. Jack Lambert officiating. Interment will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Carverton.
