Faith Kardash, 92, of Sheatown, passed away peacefully Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2024, in the comfort of her home with family at her side.
Born in Nanticoke, July 28, 1931, she was the daughter of the late John and Bertha Rudowski.
Faith was a graduate of Nanticoke High School, Class of 1949. Her early years of employment were spent in the garment industry. She was a member of Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church, Nanticoke. Her interests were gardening, puzzles and polka dancing.
On June 12, 1954, she married Michael Kardash. They celebrated 66 years together, prior to his passing on April 23, 2021.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Russell Rudowski.
Faith dedicated her life to her family, and was the proud mother of Vera Thompson and her husband, Gary; and Barbara Carey and her husband, Lyndell. She was the cherished grandmother of Caitlin Styczen and her husband, Brandon; and Christopher Thompson. She was lucky to have the opportunity to be called great-grandma by Nolan Styczen. Left to cherish her memory are sisters-in-law, Florence Kardash; Mary Rovinski and her husband, John; and Kathleen Kardash; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Faith's family would like to extend their gratitude to June and Christa for their exceptional care.
Per her wishes, all services will be private with His Eminence Archbishop Melchisdeck, Metropolitan of the Palestinian Orthodox Church in America, officiating.
Interment will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Hanover Twp.
There will be no public viewing or calling hours.
