Jean Newhart Obituary
She was born April 22, 1928, in Pittston, daughter of the late Carl and Lucy Bianco Rostock.
She attended Pittston schools.
Prior to her retirement in 1982, she was employed by Owens-Illinois.
She was a member of St. Therese Church, Shavertown.
She was preceded in death by her son, Amos Newhart, in 2004; sisters, Marion Tozzi and Laura Rostock.
She is survived by her son, Eugene Newhart and his wife, Kim, Peckville; daughter, Lucille Davis and her husband, Fred, Dallas; brother, Mike Rostock, Pittston; sister, Katie Marinageli, Browntown; and grandchildren, Amanda Newhart; Eric, Lynn and Jenna Davis.
She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
The funeral will be held Wednesday at 9:15 a.m. from Howell-Lussi Funeral Home, 509 Wyoming Ave., West Pittston, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Therese's Church, Shavertown. The Rev. James Paisley will officiate.
Interment will be in Chapel Lawn Memorial Park, Dallas. Friends may call Tuesday, 5 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.
